Shawna Beth Rea - Owner/Manager
Beth grew up in Wichita, KS and danced at several local studios, including Kansas Dance Academy with Diane Gans, Friends University with Stan and Sharon Rogers, Ballet Wichita with Jill Landrith and Nancy Hervey and Wichita State University. She attended Texas Christian University and then went on to train and perform with June Landrith's Metropolitan Ballet of Topeka, Boca Ballet Theatre, Ballet Florida at Jacksonville and White Oak Dance Project with Mikhail Baryshnikov. After retiring from dance in 1999 at age 25, Beth remained onstage, performing with Music Theatre of Wichita and other local theatres. She also managed Footlights in Wichita for two and a half years prior to its closing. Believing Wichita still needed a dance retail store, she decided to use her experience to open her own. Since opening Attitudes, Beth has had the privilege of hiring and training nine employees, eight of whom are still active with the store.

Sous-Sous - the store kitty
Sous-Sous is a two year old Tortoise Shell Ragamuffin. She grew up in the dance store and knows all of its ins and outs. She spends her days greeting customers at the door when the bell rings, chewing on tutus, sleeping in the skirt drawer, playing with Hershey's kisses until the foil falls off, hiding in the tissue paper from rowdy kids and chasing crickets that make their way in the back door. In short, she keeps all of us entertained. Sous-Sous is well known throughout the dance community from being involved in many shoe fittings as well as making appearances at many local performances.
